Eileen Leek

Eileen Leek grew up in Yorkshire, England on a dairy/sheep farm with a brother and sister, neither of whom were interested in horses.  After marrying Stephen, they moved to the United States in 1976, living in Houston.  Eileen started to ride once again. 

After they moved to the Dallas area in 1984, Eileen saw a demonstration by some Equest riders which sparked her interest in Therapeutic riders. After her daughter Jill outgrew her pony, it lived at Equest for some time.  Later both Jill and Eileen volunteered at Equest, which led to Eileen becoming an instructor.

Eileen currently owns a Percheron/Morgan mare and I competes in carriage driving events.  She also does dressage and has evented.
