Stephen "Steve" Matkoff

Steve was first introduced to Equest in 1993-94 when he volunteered as a leader and a side walker before attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. At TSU Stephen obtained a B.S. Degree in Horse Production and Management. Upon graduation, he worked for a large commercial breeding farm where he was the Stallion Manager, responsible for the health and maintenance of the breeding stallions. Stephen has also worked as the manager of a horse and riding program at a high country guest ranch in Colorado, in charge of a herd of 92 horses. He returned to Texas in 2003 and has been with Equest since August of 2004. Stephen is very excited to be a member of the wonderful Equest team and thoroughly enjoys meeting and visiting with all of the riders and volunteers
