Therapeutic Sports Riding is offered Tuesday evening through Saturday during the Spring and Fall sessions. Certified therapeutic riding instructors teach one-hour group lessons. The emphasis is on riding skills development. The cost is $440 for the 11-week session and varies for the summer camp sessions. The maximum class size is six riders.
Equest's therapeutic sports riding classes are organized to group riders according to age, type of disability and level of riding skill. In consideration of the large number of current clients, many of whom have been with Equest for several years, and the increasing number of new clients who desire to join our program, each time slot is reserved for a specific type of rider. Minimum age for Therapeutic Sports Riding is four years.
Private and semi-private classes are also available. Cost for Private classes is $605 per 11-week session and cost for semi-private classes is $550 per 11-week session.
All of Equest's private, semi-private and driving classes are open to riders of any age with any disability. However, the private and semi-private lessons are normally scheduled on weekdays at times when there are limited volunteers available. No scholarships are available for private or semi-private lessons.
