Therapeutic Carriage Driving

Therapeutic Carriage Driving is an activity that allows an individual with disabilities who cannot be, or does not wish to be, mounted the opportunity to participate in equine-assisted therapy while “mounted” in a carriage. Carriage driving has many physical benefits including improved posture and improved motor skills. Other benefits include increased attention span, improved spatial planning skills and increased self-esteem.

Therapeutic Carriage Driving  

Carriage driving is scheduled based upon an individual and space available basis. All new participants will visit Equest to be assessed as to the suitability of this activity to their needs.
