COVID-19 Updates
Greetings from Equest!
As we continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC and the City of Dallas, we have made the following decisions about upcoming programs and events:

Programs
In consideration for the health and safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff, we are carefully planning the first stage of reopening limited programming, including therapeutic riding, hippotherapy (O.T./ P.T.), equine assisted learning, and counseling this summer and into the fall. Equest’s mental health counselors are currently providing in-person and tele-health counseling to clients.

Volunteering
There is currently a limited client enrollment due to social distancing considerations. The necessary volunteer slots will be filled by Equest instructors and others as needed by request from the instructor staff.
All trained, experienced volunteers on premises must be pre-approved and pre-scheduled in limited numbers by the Director of Volunteer Services for each time they come. They must have their updated signed release on file, the COVID specific liability release form signed and on file and review the COVID protocol form. They must follow mask and hand washing protocols, and must maintain social distancing.
Please stay tuned for future opportunities when we are able to welcome more volunteers.
Volunteer training is scheduled for August 15th, 22nd & 29th 2020. Sign up here
In order to keep trainings within social distance guidelines, we have added a third training date: August 29th.
