Haute horseplay makes for yet another successful Dallas Equest Gala

Nearly 500 people showed up to the 36th annual Field of Dreams-themed Equest Gala, despite a last-minute date change to Sunday because of a stormy weather forecast. Guests and proud supporters perused the venue while sipping on margaritas and noshing on bites from both the biscuit bar and taco station.

As part of Hyatt's Global Month of Service, the staff at Hyatt Regency Dallas spent the day volunteering with Equest at the Texas Horse Park, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children & adults with diverse needs by using horses to bring hope & healing.

With all the threats of Saturday night’s stormy weather ramping up, area organizers are kicking in back-up plans. Word just arrived that the Equest Gala at Texas Horse Park has been postponed 24 hours to Sunday.

The final countdown begins for the much-anticipated 2017 Equest Gala ~ Field of Dreams. On April 29, Equest will transform the Texas Horse Park into an elegant soiree where supporters, clients, and therapy horses unite to celebrate the achievements of Equest’s 35-year history and to raise money so that Equest can continue its mission to improve lives through the human-horse connection for years to come.

A hobbit experience in Dallas (plus shopping!)

Elves, hobbits and humans are invited to see Middle Earth in Dallas at the Equest Tolkien Experience. Taking place at The Shire at Preston Hollow, this home took seven years to create and was influenced by The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
