PATH INT'L Principles of therapeutic riding pilot workshop

Join us for a brand-new PATH workshop at the end of August! This workshop is for anyone who would like more information about PATH, Equine Assisted Services, or who is interested in becoming a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. You can also use this for CEUs!

Schedule and Descriptions of Modules:

​

Monday, August 21st: Level 1 – The Concept

1-A – Principals of Therapeutic Riding - Offers a brief overview of the EAS industry, clarifies terminology, and illustrates why therapeutic riding benefits our riders. 

1-B – An Introduction to Instructor Certification – Provides an overview of the PATH Instructor Certification process with detail on the CTRI process and skill requirements.

Tuesday, August 22nd: Level 2 – Quality of Service – How to do it well

2-A – PATH Intl. Center Standards – Provides an explanation of standards, how to meet them, and what they mean to centers and PATH Members.

2-B – PATH Intl. CTRI Criteria - Goes through the process of gaining education, teaching hours, and the application to become a CTRI.

2-C – Equine Welfare and Management – How to manage, feed, and care for equines, especially related to therapy herds and their needs.  

 

Wednesday, August 23rd - Friday, August 25th: Level 3 – Instructor Training Workshop

3-Day Workshop - Gain knowledge in teaching methodology, lesson planning, position and movement analysis, disabilities, therapy horse selection, and much more!
